COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT DOES "PLANNED SEASON" MEAN?

We will do everything we can to mitigate cold weather impact on our produce, however we do live in northern climate. If we experience an unusually cold spring or early frost in the fall, this may impact the length of our planned season. We guarantee the value of your purchase however. If we are unable to fill one of the weekly offerings with high-quality produce that meets our standards, we will replace the value through other products we offer, make up the value in remaining weeks offerings, or refund you for that week.

WILL MY WEEKLY VEGETABLE SUBSCRIPTION BE THE SAME SIZE EACH WEEK?

The size of weekly vegetable subscriptions will vary week to week. In the spring they will be smaller as early crops become available. As the summer progresses and more items come into season, the volume and variety will increase. You may also have bonus items from new trials, or extra items added in as we transition between spring, summer and fall crops. Overall we guarantee you will receive at least the full value of your subscription purchase, averaged out over the season.

WHAT DOES "BETTER THAN ORGANIC" MEAN?

Everything we produce is grown with the highest standards for quality, and with that in mind we work hard to meet or exceed the Canadian organic standards. For instance, organic production allows for certain pesticides and herbicides, however we choose to use only ecologically friendly, chemical free methods for managing pests and weeds. This being said, we don't agree with paying a regulatory body to grow great food, and therefore increasing the cost to our customers. Rather we encourage you to see for yourself: join us on our open farm days, connect with us online, and experience our produce for yourself. We trust that you will see and taste the difference.
